12-10-20 THOUGHTS

Yesterday we considered the question “How shall this man live”?  That question needs the answer to another question  “What is TRUTH?”   John 18:38.    Pilate asked the question frivolously, we must ask it with eternal reverence.  The world today no longer seeks TRUTH.     IT MANUFACTURES ITS OWN TRUTH.   When there is no reverence for God, there is no BASIS FOR TRUTH.  
Rom 1:25   For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Rom 2:8-9a    but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. 9  There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil,
LOVE...    “does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;”    1Cor 13:6
2Cor 4:2    but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
John 8:32   “and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
John 14:6   Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
John 17:17      "Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.”
Col 1:5-6   because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel  6  which has come to you, just as in all the world also it is constantly bearing fruit and increasing, even as it has been doing in you also since the day you heard of it and understood the grace of God in truth;
2Thes 2:8-14   Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;  9  that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10  and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11  For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12  in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness. 13  But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. 14  It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

My Prayer:
Thank you Lord God for the light of your truth.  Your word is truth.  Your Son is truth. In Christ Jesus your grace in truth is extended to us.  You have made us free in Christ Jesus.  We praise you for your grace, love and mercy toward us.  Thank you for the hope of eternity with you.
